Paul played his college football at Northwestern and was the Minnesota Vikings fourth round pick during the 1963 draft. He played with the Vikings 1963-67 and the Atlanta Falcons 1968-70. Paul appeared in 106 games, recording 306 receptions for 4905 yards and 24 TD’s. He was named the 1963 NFL Rookie of the Year, led all Vikings receivers in receiving 3x…1963, 1965, 1966 and was named to the 1966 Pro Bowl team. Paul Richard Flatley (b. January 30, 1941, Richmond, Indiana) was a wide receiver in the National Football League from 1963 to 1970.

During his career, he played for the Minnesota Vikings and the Atlanta Falcons. Drafted by the Vikings in the 4th round in the 1963 NFL Draft, Flatley was selected as the UPI NFL-NFC Rookie of the Year. As a Viking, Flatley played in the 1966 Pro Bowl.

He is a member of the Indiana Football Hall of Fame.
